In just 120 seconds, I can make it from the clicking close of one door to the unlatched unleashing of the other. Behind one, my girl, home from a Spring Break overnight, enjoying her own Spotify playlist behind yet another door.
Beyond the other, my guy, working on a Saturday so that he can get closer to the end of “as long as it takes,” enjoying this Spring weather with his garage door open.
Door-to-door in two minutes flat. Coffee in hand, an extra layer even though the thermometer says it is almost 70 degrees up here, and the joy of having everyone home. Behind different doors, to be sure, but either of them, both of them, only a moment — or two — away.
